stupid hardware
this originally was going to be a post about how a piece of hardware was not working after i had accidentally dropped the laptop bag it was in from about 3 feet off the floor onto the concrete floor in the garage. Just plugged it in again and now it works.
Moral of the story: blog about failing hardware before giving up on it. It may just come back to life.

All because of this post to the git list that showed me it was possible to use git in the way that I wanted to use it and still be able to interact with svn via git-svn.
