I added a 1GB of memory to my Macbook this weekend. Now the thing is super fast (and still very shiny). Where as before, I was frequently using a GB of swap and occasionally 2GB for larger compiles, I’m now using only 64MB. It’s made using this thing really quite enjoyable.
Now, if someone knows a linux distribution that does suspend to ram on this thing reliably (i.e. I can close and open the laptop lid a dozen times a day and it comes back every time), then I can seriously think about making some room for Linux on this thing.
