- Up and off to work. Demo of NX as a remote support tool for the restaurant helpdesk in the morning. Well received. Spent most of the day working on getting OpenSUSE 11.0 installed on a box that I'm using for a pilot project. We don't work natively on Linux boxes at work (yet) unless we're doing testing. The majority of development is done via PuTTY or VNC sessions, but as we start to do more GUI stuff, that won't scale too well, and I think we can be more productive anyways, so I'm getting to test it out and see how it goes.
- Home in the evening, playtime with S. and then some more work on my GTD app, then off to bed.

- off to work at the normal time. traffic was nice and light. poked at a few bugs in the graphical order entry system. fixed a few of them.
- home later than normal, trying to make up time for the long lunch I took yesterday. S. was her normal self - fussy - but still very cute.
- irc in the evening after C. and S. were both in bed. Spent some time in #kde-bugs talking to blauzahl about kopete bug triage. If you're looking for a way to contribute, that's a great start. All you need is a recent version of svn trunk, and some time. The bugsquad page on Techbase will give you more info.
- Also managed to get various git-svn repos that I had cloned updated and built. we'll see if this yields any results in terms of code.

Trolltech Dev Days for me?
I let work know a few weeks ago about Trolltech's Developer Days thing that's coming up the first week of October. Since we're in the process of migrating our text-based interfaces to Qt, it seems like a good thing to send some people to. Today I put together a summary of stuff for my manager about how much it costs, etc. So, I might be going, or I might not. I want to go though. IMO, it makes sense for me to go, since I'm the Qt SME (subject matter expert) at work, and I'll most likely be giving training sessions to everybody else.
Besides, Aaron Seigo is going to be there, why would you not want to go?
spiffy Qt goodness…at work :)
I get to use Qt at work for a project I'm working on. It'll be the second project that uses Qt at work, which is cool. I'd love to see people at work make more use of Qt, so this is a nice start.
